Ben began his career in financial services in 2005 as a Loan Officer at a community bank in Connersville, IN. After success in this capacity, in 2010 Ben was promoted to the trust & wealth management department as an Assistant Vice President. Over the next 3 years Ben attended and graduated from Cannon Financial Institute’s Trust School. Upon completion of Trust School, Ben sat for and passed the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) exam offered by the Institute of Certified Bankers. This continues to be the most well respected designation in the arena of trust services. Concurrently, Ben was learning and building a financial planning & investment management practice. In 2013 Ben made a huge leap of faith by resigning from the bank & starting Pathway Financial Planning, Inc., an independent financial planning firm.
Ben and his wife Mandy have been happily married since 2004. In 2005 they were blessed with a son, Cooper and later in 2011 a daughter, Claire. Mandy prides herself in being a Mom, but also comforting and advocating for others as a Registered Nurse. They are involved in their local church. In their leisure they enjoy spending time together as a family, traveling, attending family get-togethers, golfing, gardening, and home improvement projects.
Growing up in Connersville, Ben has a passion for seeing his community and its members thrive. This is evidenced by his roles as a Trustee at his local church, a Board Member of the local Chamber of Commerce, and frequent public speaker on various financial topics.
